Regional Coordination

Regional coordination has taken on a significant role in the way the system manages its outreach to employers and the incumbent workforce.
Management includes communication and collaboration within and across regions, responsiveness to new opportunities and challenges, and accountability for results.
Six regions were identified across the state, according to the regions identified by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. Here is a Web link to these regions with a distinct list of institutions and a regional coordinator included for each region.

You will notice that all regional Websites display a similar look and feel. But you will also notice that each Website focuses on its own priorities and the activities it supports and the results it produces.
Here is a Web link to a sample job description for the six regional coordinators. [Weblink] It includes the tasks that regional coordinators manage. Since the coordinators are supervised by administrators in colleges or universities, each description may vary somewhat.
Regional coordinators also provide the administrators with facilitation of system-level initiatives, beyond implementing the strategic plan.
