Board of Trustees’ Award for Excellence in Teaching
Beginning in 2006-2007, the award is an honor bestowed upon Minnesota State Colleges & Universities faculty to acknowledge and reward exceptional individual professional accomplishment, and to encourage ongoing excellence, in teaching.
The Board of Trustees’ Award for Excellence in Teaching is intended to recognize superior teaching at our colleges and universities. The award proclaims, on behalf of the entire system, the Board of Trustees’ pride in the dedication and accomplishment of our faculty in providing instruction that prepares Minnesota’s college and university students for their professional, scholarly, and civic lives.
College Faculty Awards for Excellence
The 2005-2007 Minnesota State College Faculty contract with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, in Article 13, Section 5, pages 42-43, provides for College Presidents to grant Awards for Excellence.
